Based in Pennington, nr ulverston, MGF Motors is your local independent friendly garage offering a professional service to all cars and light commercial vehicles. MGF Motors is celebrating over 30 years of continuous service to new and existing customers. We have qualified and experienced mechanics who take pride in ensuring that the vehicles we MOT and service leave the garage in the highest standard and a reliable condition.

 

Both Stephen and Zoe are time served mechanics that carried out their apprenticeships here at MGF Motors under previous management and decided to join up in January 2015 to carry on the success the garage has and they have continued to thrive. They have continued to learn and expand their knowledge on the latest vehicles and diagnostics available today.

Stephen has over 20 years and Zoe has over 10 years experience working in the garage environment.

We like to make all our customers feel relaxed and happy with every visit as we know this type of environment can be a daunting place for some. We're always happy to have a general chinwag about life in general (as long as it's with a coffee mind), just to help our customers, old and new feel happy and welcome.

 

Being an established motor garage, the local schools allow their secondary school pupils to come on work experience so they can gain some experience that introduces them to a working environment ready for when they leave school. In 2018 Jack undertook work experience with us, we were impressed with his attitude and eagerness to learn and in turn this later lead to him enrolling on an apprenticeship course in the motor vehicle trade through us.

 

MOT testing is a large part of our day to day activities along with vehicle servicing but we also like doing the major jobs like timing chains, clutches, dpf cleaning etc. We are an approved MOT testing centre carrying out all class 4 vehicle tests and any repairs needed. Both Stephen and Zoe have many years behind them as MOT testers and have the relevant qualifications and knowledge needed to undertake MOT testing to the national standards.
