Vehicle
Servicing

Regular car servicing is one of the simplest and most effective ways to ensure that you get consistent reliability for your car. We offer anything from a simple engine oil change through to a full/major service. Whichever way you want to go I'm sure we have something to suit your needs.

Brake
&
Suspension
Check

Visual inspections are a quick and simple way just to make sure everything is as it should be but we also offer a full brake strip down and re-grease of all the essential components.

Diagnostic
Scan

We have the most up to date Snap-ON software for our diagnostic equipment that's regularly updated allowing us to diagnose a wide variety of vehicles with any warning lights staying on. Our scanner also allows us to carry out DPF regenerations and diagnostics. Feel free to get in touch and speak to us about these services.

Tyres

There are many different reasons for tyre wear. Your tyres don't just get worn due to age and use, other factors including emergency braking, incorrect tyre inflation and wheel alignment, and poor road surfacing can easily damage a tyre. It is recommended that tyres are replaced when the tread depth reaches 3mm in order to maintain optimum braking performance. The legal limit for minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the breadth of the tyre and around the full circumference.

Engine
Repairs

We can carry out all engine repairs from the cooling systems to the starting/charging systems. Batteries, Exhausts, Electrical systems, Fluid exchange services i.e; Transfer box, Differentials etc. Engine internals if needed and we can also provide engine flushes/cleaners for petrol or diesel engines.

Clutch
Replacement

What does a clutch do? In simple terms, the clutch transmits power from the engine to the gearbox, but more importantly, it can isolate the engine from the gearbox to allow changing of gears within the gearbox. The clutch plate itself is usually made mostly of metal trimmed in a friction material on both faces. It has a splined centre section which enables it to slide along the input shaft to the gearbox. In its default position (i.e., without the clutch pedal pressed), it is clamped against the flywheel by the clutch. Clutch slip, judder and noisy release bearings are all signs of clutch failure along with leaky or defective slave and/or master clutch cylinders. Worn Release Bearings & Dual Mass Flywheels: If you can hear a low rumbling sound coming from the gearbox that goes away when you press the clutch pedal then it's possible you have an issue with either the release bearing or the dual mass flywheel (if your car has one).

Cambelt
&
Timing Chain
Replacement

Arguably, changing the timing belt is the single most important piece of maintenance your car can undergo.Yet the most common cause of belt failure is simply that it becomes old and worn. It keeps the camshaft in order and handles operations like the opening and closing of valves – maintaining timely combustion. Not addressing a worn belt in time can cause catastrophic damage to your car. One of the major benefits of a belt is that it's much quieter than a chain. A timing chain runs inside the engine, as it needs to be lubricated by the engine oil. A timing belt typically needs to be replaced between 40,000 and 100,000 miles depending on the vehicle.  A timing chain doesn't need to be replaced unless there is a problem with it. We're happy to undertake either replacements. Feel free to contact us if you'r unsure of when a cambelt or timing chain is needed on your vehicle.
